William's New Trick
Let it Snow?
Even though I am ready fro spring to come and stay so we can play in the warm weather...we still do have a lot of fun in the snow...
(it may be a little long, but it's a different)
Feel that Burn!
Jed and I have started working out. Some nights we work out together. We get a deck of cards. We take turns flipping over a card. Whichever number it is we do a workout. We are able to choose which one we want to do. One night Reid was still up (he had a really late nap), so he exercised with us!
Sorry it's a bit dark. My camera doesn't work well when it's darker.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from the Burtons! This picture was taken after church. I was hoping to get it done before but it turned out impossible (and we have church at 1pm). They also had ties, however, William's wouldn't fit over his head! And Reid didn't want to wear his...but their shirts are cute!

Becoming Jane
I felt sad for her for living a life with so much love for someone but never being able to be with him. But mostly grateful for being married myself. And not just being married but being married to my wonderful, amazing husband. We may not be in the ideal situation I dreamed of when we first were married, however these wonderful 5 years have brought me a lot of joy. Plus two little energetic blessings. I wouldn't have chosen to live any other way.
I thought I'd place a post on how amazing my husband is and what a great daddy he is to our boys. He works so hard for us to live well and still comes home wanting to play (with the boys). Soon he will be taking a giant leap toward finishing school and I am proud of him for doing it (more info to come later). I love you Jed!

Last Stop, Lincoln Beach
SO I TRIED TO PUT IT IN ORDER, THE FIRST PLACE FIRST THEN LINCOLN BEACH LAST...WELL OBVIOUSLY THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. SO HOPEFULLY YOU CAN FIGURE THINGS OUT!
Jed's last attempt to fish was at Lincoln Beach. Still no luck, but the boys still had fun.
Jed wishing and hoping, but no luck :(

What Happens in Vegas Doesn't Always Stay in Vegas!
Saturday my sister Celeste and her family and our family went to Las Vegas to do some of the free stuff. We went to The Rio World Buffet, not free but yummy. Then on to Caesars Palace for the Atlantis show...talking statues. Reid was intrigued until the fire got too much. Then he was a little scared. We were so close that we could feel the heat.
We walked to the Bellagio for the fountains, but they were canceled due to high winds. We then drove to the airport to watch the planes land. There's a place you can park near the runway and watch them. Jace got sick so they took off. Jed and I wanted to see some more things. We went to Circus Circus and watched a little show. They do something different every half hour. We watched Trapeze Artists. Reid thought it was pretty cool how they did flips in the air. Next we went to Treasure Island to see the Pirate ship (not as cool as it used to be but still wanted to check it out). Just before it started , it was canceled due to high winds. So we figured everything was canceled and headed back to Celeste's.
Alexis stole William's blanket...he wasn't to fond of that!
Cassidy, my niece took over the camera. Here are some of us who were there!
She also took some interesting pix. I thought they looked cool...
Of course, we can't forget about our photographer. What a cutie!!
To explain the title. Jace got sick while in Vegas and Reid brought it all the way to Lindon. Luckily he wasn't as bad!
We Love PINEVALLEY!!!
Sunday, Celeste, Cassidy, Alexis and my family (jace was still sick and Lance stayed home with him), went up to Pinevalley where our Grandma and Grandpa Wells live. We decorated eggs and enjoyed the time with grandma and grandpa. Unfortunately we couldn't do much outside because it was snowing and so cold! Luckily grandpa had made an enclosed space with a fireplace so we could still roast marshmallows and make s'mores!

To explain some of the pictures...Celeste has a hard time keeping here eyes open while pictures are being taken. It's a disease, still no cure! Reid loved when the marshmallow's caught on fire. And Jed decided to try to chop his finger off with a hatchet! Luckily he didn't succeed and only cut it, though pretty deep. It's healing nicely now.
We stayed in Pinvalley and went home Monday. Though nothing really went the way we had hoped we still had a great time just being with each other. We always have such a good time together. I love my boys (all three of them) and the never ending enjoyment I have when I am with them!
Spring Break! 1st Stop, Lake Powell
Jed had Spring Break last week and we decided to take a family trip. Jed really wanted to go fishing and I really wanted to do some hiking. We were leaving Wednesday morning and finally Tuesday Jed learned of a great place in Page, Arizona at lake Powell. We headed off, listening to Harry Potter on tape most of the way (it really makes the trip go by so much faster!) We stopped off in Beaver at the Cheese Factory and got some yummy curds! Then came the beautiful drive as we headed toward Lake Powell.
Once we got to Page, we ventured off to find a good place. We found one where Jed can fish and the boys were able to play. There was a slight cliff where Jed was fishing so I wasn't too excited about it, but we still had fun.

Reid Fishing
Playing in the Sand
My Aunt Jenny lent me her hiking backpack and I loved it! It worked out so well I want to buy me one for myself. Plus William enjoyed it. He didn't care much when I bent down or pulled him off, but he enjoyed riding.
Unfortunately the wind was there and no fish were nibbling. We decided to pack it up and find a place to stay and food to eat. Woke up the next morning to a beautiful day, we decided to try it again. We found THE PERFECT place. There was a little beach next to the water with smaller cliffs to the side where Jed can fish. We pitched a pup tent and started to enjoy it. I had left with William to get some ice and when I came back the wind was blowing like crazy (30 mph). To make a long story a little bit longer...we eventually got everything back to the car...losing our tent :( and headed off to Celeste's in Mesquite.

Reid is into Diego (Dora the Explorer's cousin). He always wants to be Diego and knows some Spanish words because of it.

Which Disney Princess Are You?
Headstrong and fiesty. You have a mind of your own that's full of romantic dreams about the world around you. Exploring exotic places is your ultimate dream, and although you can be a little naive you'll realize that there is something to be gained from your family's wisdom.

2nd Child Gets Forgotten :(
Now I know why De is called the "Forgotten Child". No I didn't forget William anywhere, I've just noticed that Reid is the star of this blog and there is hardly anything about William. It's not that I don't take pictures of him, Reid is just more active and does things that stand out. William is definitely quieter! So here's to William...
(It's a tag I made up and pass to Gavin, Anya, Bennet, Carson, Spencer and Jace)
(Some of the videos are a little long, so watch what you want and skip the rest, though all of it is really cute...i'm not biased or anything)!
Full Name: William Thor Burton (Thor came from Daddy, hopefully it will bring me good luck like it has him)
Age, Weight, Height, etc: 15 months and 11 days...17 pounds...I'm no where near the charts weight-wise (my doctor isn't worried, i weigh 1 1/2 pounds more than Reid did at this age!) Height I'm about 10% and head I am 61%! yeah, gotta have something to hold my big brain in place!
Favorite Food: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE bananas. I will eat 2 a day if my mommy lets me. I like oatmeal in the morning (I'll eat the whole bowl). Hot dogs are one of my favs (I'll eat a whole one). Basically any fruit i will eat it right up and continue asking for more.
Disliked Foods: I'm not too partial on vegetables, though my mommy keeps trying to give them to me. Anything with a strong flavor I don't care for either. I will however try most things, I am getting to the age where I can be picky.
Favorite Toys: I love balloons, I can play with those forever. And don't you dare try taking it away from me when I have to go to bed, I will throw a screaming fit then cry forever in my crib just to annoy you!
Favorite Activities: I enjoy stroller rides (hopefully it'll get warm again so mommy can take me out). I absolutely love taking baths. Whenever I hear the water running I take off and try to climb in (mommy is glad I'm not tall enough yet because I usually still have my clothes on). i enjoy walking around, as long as I have my walker. my doctor says it's a confidence thing that i need to get over. mommy hopes it'll be soon. i love playing with my big brother Reid and hanging out with daddy. i'm more of a daddy's boy than a momma's boy (unless i haven't seen my mommy in a long time, then i prefer her). i love going on a bear hunt with mommy and reid. whenever we find the 'bear' (daddy), we run to reid's bed and hide under the covers. then the bear comes and finds us! that's my favorite part, i always get soooo excited. I do like to do some quiet stuff (that's different from my big brother-he's always on the go. but i like to stop and slow down every once in awhile).
Words I Can Say: I don't say much right now. I can say daddy, bye bye (di di), thank you (ta u), uh oh (with my hands up)and see. I like to point to things, get all excited about it and say 'SEE!' I'm curious about this world. I can sign also...please, thank you, more, eat, banana, light, puppy and fish. Mommy tried to record me doing it, but I didn't want to perform. I can also blow my nose, mommy is happy about that one!
Mommy Moment Traits: I can blow kisses (actually here in my family, we throw them)! I like to give hugs and kisses too.
