Easter!

So, I know I'm a couple weeks off but i finally am able to post about Easter! Unfortunately I didn't get a pix of the boys in their Easter clothes, but I took plenty of others.

We didn't dye eggs until that day because I wanted Jed to be a part of it. Lliam and Reid loved dipping the eggs in the dye.

Jed had a good excuse to pull out his heat gun. He melted the plastic wrap to the eggs.

Then we played the 'Crack Game' (what Reid calls it!)

Our Yummy dinner!

And then we went on an Easter Egg hunt with the Larsen's! Each child had a different color to find and each child was able to find 12 eggs! That way they all got the same amount!

OK! is all we can say!

Lliam's new thing is to put ANYTHING on top of his head and say, 'I SANTA!'

Reid's new thing is to be like Steve Austin (6 million dollar man...don't know it...google it). He'll tell me he's Steve, pushes 'buttons' on his arm and takes off!

i love these boys!

Quick Trip

We spontaneously decided to head on down to St. George last weekend. Jed needed a little break before his finals started (even though he was studying whenever we weren't busy). We stayed at Celeste's house and the kids played as hard as they could for as long as they could, it was great seeing them again!
(Thanx for letting us crash at your place!)
We were able to visit with my grandma and had so much fun! It was so good to see her again.

Reid and Grandma having a light saber war!

The main reason was to see the Colton's and attend the reception for Amy Colton. Congratulations Guys!

Fun with the Hughes'

A couple weeks ago, Celeste and her family came up for a visit. We had so much fun playing with them and were constantly busy! It was a sad day when they had to leave (there was some crying...from Reid and Lliam, they love their cousins). WE missed them so much we took a little vacation last weekend and visited them (as well as other things-pix to come).

First we went to the Dinosaur Museum and had a blast!!! We will definitely be going back!

Alexis had to learn how to maneuver!

This is their favorite thing to do now days!

They loved the hands-on parts of the museum, it was hard pulling them away from these spots.

Here are the kids acting like dinosaurs. Pretty scary!

Next we went to the Zoo!

We loved the carousel and train rides.

On another day we went to Jump on It. For those who live in the Pleasant Grove area of Utah, let me let you in on a little secret! Every Wednesday and Thursday from 10-11, it's Mommy and Me time, the mommy is FREE (other adults are $5), the first child is $3 and the other children are $2. It's only an hour, but that's all you need!

And of course we had to visit Chuckie!!!

My little Rock Star is 4!!!

Can you believe it?! I have a 4 year old!!! How crazy is that?!

For Reid's birthday party we became Rock Stars. I had so much fun preparing for it and Reid had fun making all the important decisions, like the colors for the plates and cups, how his invitation looked and how he wanted his guitar cake to look! Jed said I had to cut back on all the pink (100% honest, Reid choose that color for almost EVERYTHING!) So i allowed pink napkins and the writing on his invitation to be pink, also some frosting on the 'microphone' cup cakes were pink too.

Luckily, Grandma Wells was in town and was able to stop by!

First we made our own microphones!

We played the 'balloon pop' game once everyone showed up. Next time I'll use bigger balloons for the younger children. They pop easier!

Then on to the PINATA!!!

We made our own pinatas. Originally they were to be disco balls, but with the colorful one I added construction paper because I was so worried it was too thin and would break easily. Which is also why i made 2 pinatas!

The green one, I let the kids paint prior that week. Unfortunately it broke off the hanging piece and we couldn't put it back on so we just let them beat it to death!!
and poor alexis (my niece) fractured her tibia the day before they came to town! She learned quickly how to get around!
We made a guitar cake and decorated it with candy! Plus we had 'microphone' cupcakes (we used the icecream cones).

Then of course...presents! The first pix is of the present Grandma Gentry got him, a microphone with a speaker in it so Reid and sing all he wants! Thanx Mom!
The second pix is of some of the kids. They each were able to hold the present they brought for Reid and give it to him once he chose them! It kept them sitting and not trying to help!

I made drums for them to play with and they each got their own guitars (inflatable)!

I think this was the best part! I plugged the camera into the T.V. so they can see themselves on it! they truly were Rock Stars!!!

Mormon Messages

The Church has started posting on YouTube, called Mormon Messages. The most recent one is about Jeffrey R. Holland's talk on how Christ had to make His journey alone, but how we do not because of him! You can find the video on the LDS website, YouTube, or to right right of this post should be the very first one). I've added some clips on my blog for all to easily see them.

I watched the one called, 'None Were With Him', by Jeffrey R. Holland and was overwhelmed with joy for what our Savior has done for us. How He had to go through so much suffering alone, just so that we don't have to.

It's amazing how one simple video can bring the spirit into the homes of those who watch it. If you click on the link to the comments (of the video) you'll see that some non-mormons have watched it and have felt that spirit! I love this Church and know that my Savior, Jesus Christ died for me, for all of us, so that we too can live again! I love how we celebrate His life, and not His death. Though it was an important part, it wasn't the end!

Happy Easter!
