Spring Break! 1st Stop, Lake Powell

Jed had Spring Break last week and we decided to take a family trip. Jed really wanted to go fishing and I really wanted to do some hiking. We were leaving Wednesday morning and finally Tuesday Jed learned of a great place in Page, Arizona at lake Powell. We headed off, listening to Harry Potter on tape most of the way (it really makes the trip go by so much faster!) We stopped off in Beaver at the Cheese Factory and got some yummy curds! Then came the beautiful drive as we headed toward Lake Powell.
Once we got to Page, we ventured off to find a good place. We found one where Jed can fish and the boys were able to play. There was a slight cliff where Jed was fishing so I wasn't too excited about it, but we still had fun.

My Aunt Jenny lent me her hiking backpack and I loved it! It worked out so well I want to buy me one for myself. Plus William enjoyed it. He didn't care much when I bent down or pulled him off, but he enjoyed riding.

Unfortunately the wind was there and no fish were nibbling. We decided to pack it up and find a place to stay and food to eat. Woke up the next morning to a beautiful day, we decided to try it again. We found THE PERFECT place. There was a little beach next to the water with smaller cliffs to the side where Jed can fish. We pitched a pup tent and started to enjoy it. I had left with William to get some ice and when I came back the wind was blowing like crazy (30 mph). To make a long story a little bit longer...we eventually got everything back to the car...losing our tent :( and headed off to Celeste's in Mesquite.

I love you all and my amazing nephews. We had spring break last week too, but we didn't do anything as fun as you did(school, ick)! Hope to see you soon.

Oh my goodness! Those little boys are ALL boy aren't they! That was so fun seeing little William climb. You'd be surprised how many little kids even older than him can't climb up or down even from a chair.
