Becoming Jane

I just watched the movie, Becoming Jane starring Anne Hathaway. I highly recommend it to all you chick flick lovers out there, but beware...it is sad. For those of you who know Jane Austen well, you know she never married (for those of you who don't know her well, now you know something). The end shows her hiding her ring finger (no wedding ring), thus triggering the flood gates to open for me. If it hadn't been for my two boys being awake, I probably would have cried for a very long time. For a couple of reasons.
I felt sad for her for living a life with so much love for someone but never being able to be with him. But mostly grateful for being married myself. And not just being married but being married to my wonderful, amazing husband. We may not be in the ideal situation I dreamed of when we first were married, however these wonderful 5 years have brought me a lot of joy. Plus two little energetic blessings. I wouldn't have chosen to live any other way.
I thought I'd place a post on how amazing my husband is and what a great daddy he is to our boys. He works so hard for us to live well and still comes home wanting to play (with the boys). Soon he will be taking a giant leap toward finishing school and I am proud of him for doing it (more info to come later). I love you Jed!

We enjoyed that movie, too. And yes, your mother cried. She agrees with you about it being sad that Jane never got married and you are very lucky to have your three boys. I'm have to say that your mother is lucky in marriage, too.

Leona, that is my FAVORITE movie. I'm kind of a Jane Austen fanatic, so it's definitely high on my list of good things. It's really good after having read all her books and seeing the similarities they put in the movie from the books she wrote (not sure how much was factual). Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it despite the sadness. And if you want another movie that will help you appreciate your husband watch "P.S. I Love you." After I watched it I hugged Nate and said "Don't ever die." :)
